Membership and loans
Membership is compulsory to access the libraries. You can register for a membership at the information desk in any of our locations.
Do I qualify for a membership?
Mines Paris libraries are accessible to students, faculty, researchers and staff of Mine Paris or other grandes écoles as well as to anyone interested in their collections.
Reader categories
According to you profile, you will be assigned to one of the three reader categories. This category determines the services you can use.
| Mines Paris | You can consult materials onsite and borrow them. You can access electronic resources onsite and remotely. You can use the interlibrary loan service. |
| Partner | You can consult materials onsite and borrow them. You can access electronic resources onsite. |
| External reader | You can consult materials onsite. You can access electronic resources onsite. |
Supporting documents
- Mines Paris members : student card or professional card
- Partner : student card or professional card from a partner institution (PSL, ParisTech, etc)
- External reader : identification document
You will have to fill out a registration form at the library's information desk.
Borrowing material
Mines Paris members and partners can borrow up to 20 items for 2 months. You can extend your loan period if needed, provided another reader has not requested the item. To extend your loan(s), please ask the staff at the information desk.
